Costa Mesa - SoBeCa District
SoBeCaDistrict is Orange County's version of "Melrose," minus the insane prices and brutal traffic! At the heart of this district are specialty retail projects, The LAB and The CAMP, across the street from each other on South Bristol Street in Costa Mesa, City of the Arts. Get coiffed at Gods & Heros. Drop a little coin at The LAB. Chow down and imbibe at Memphis, Rooster Cafe, Gypsy Den, Habana or Tin Lizzie Saloon.

San Clemente – Avenida Del Mar
Spend a day in San Clemente and when you're done, you'll have experienced Southern California at its best. Start your day at Grill at Surfin' Dounuts, then take a short stroll over to downtown. On Avenida Del Mar alone, you can get yourself a pair of local-legend Rainbow sandals from Hobie Surf Shop and a new bikini from Cindy's Swimwear. Then hit up Mingee's for a mani-pedi, pick up some new shades at Griffin Optometric, and then go over and have Billy's hook you up with some great deli items for your lunch in their courtyard. Afterward, check out the local antique and trinket shops and then walk on down to enjoy some of the last unspoiled beaches in Orange County. Take in some sun, do a little surfing, fish from the pier, go for a jog on the beach trail or just go for a romantic walk on the beach itself. And when your tan is just right, hit The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar on the pier for some of the very best sunsets you'll ever see. Classic California.

Laguna Beach
Tucked away between Dana Point and Newport Beach is the artist colony of Laguna Beach. Far beyond the soap-opera drama portrayed in the MTV series, Laguna is truly an Orange County gem. Founded in the late 1800s, Laguna's beauty and Monaco-like coastal location has been a draw for artists, sculptors and photographers since the early 1900s. Add in the spectacular coves and beaches, dozens of bed & breakfasts, restaurants and shopping and you have one of the very best places in all of Southern California to spend a day. The Sawdust Festival, The Festival of the Arts and Pageant of the Masters are must-see art events, and don't forget legendary marine-life artist Wyland's Gallery. Check out K'ya Bistro at La Casa del Camino and at sunset, be sure to head upstairs to the The Rooftop Lounge. Try Las Brisas for fantastic Mexican seafood and breathtaking sunsets, then let your hair down at the legendary Sandpiper to experience the last word in beach town dive bars.
